Meet Our Care Ambassador

We're Here For You

Diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma Stage 1 Triple Negative breast cancer, Sonya has always been deeply committed to providing support and comfort to our Being A Woman Breast Cancer Support Group community. During her own cancer journey, she found strength in our founder, Pamela Burnett, who walked alongside her, offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support.

Now, Sonya is paying it forward. In January 2025, she welcomed a young woman who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer into our support group, listening to her journey and upcoming treatment decisions. While this young woman had a strong family support system, Sonya stepped in to offer something just as vitalā€”the understanding and sisterhood that only a fellow survivor can provide. Through compassion, shared experience, and encouragement, she ensured this young woman had the support of someone who has walked in her shoes.

Care Team Ambassador

Obtaining emotional support is an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety that comes with a breast cancer diagnosis. That's why the Beautiful Gate Cancer Support and Resource Center brought it's support group online to ensure we can assist as many cancer patients, survivors and their families as possible.

Our Being A Woman online breast cancer support group is open to women who are newly diagnosed, survivors, thrivers and caregivers. Our group provides a safe and confidential space to share information, feelings, provide and receive support and learn from one another while being surrounded by women who understand.

We invite special guests to our support group to address your concerns and questions. Please click the below button to share what type of support you need and how we can help.Ā
